Dr. Gosnell Arrested for Murdering 7 Babies Who Survived Abortion – A Practice Barack Obama Supports & Has Voted For 4 Times Audio | The Gateway Pundit

By idaflo | January 20th, 2011 | No Comments »

I work with a little boy who was born five months early. We celebrated his second birthday yesterday.
His smile lights up the room.
Though he has a few developmental delays, he sees, hears, talks with, runs, laughs, cries, and plays with the other children. He is devoted to his family and loves his teachers. We continue to see amazing progress in his development and abilities.
I am humbled to be near him each day

Introduction to a crisis pregnancy…

By idaflo | January 16th, 2011 | No Comments »

Painting called A World of Their OwnFirst, a Dragnet Disclaimer: The stories are true, though the names have been changed.

It was 11:30 last Friday night. My phone signaled me that a text had been received; I noted it was from Amy, my co-worker.  She said she had just discovered that she was pregnant. I was not surprised, we’d been discussing the possibility at work earlier in the day.

So, yet another young life begins in the womb of a single mom.  Though I don’t have an exact count, I think it’s safe to say that 80% of the women I work with are single moms, most never having been married.

It took me back to another crisis pregnancy, eighteen years ago. Read More »

8 Ways Fascist Feminists Are Ruining America’s Women

By idaflo | November 6th, 2010 | No Comments »

by Cassy Fiano (Originally published 8-2-2010)

American women have some of the best lives in the world. We can literally do whatever we want. American women can go to school where we want, we can go to college, we can work wherever we want, we can marry whoever we want, and we can choose to lead whatever kind of life we want to lead. Millions of women in oppressed countries around the world cannot even imagine the freedom that American women so enjoy — and take for granted. We’ve come a long way in less than one hundred short years, but a lot of women can’t see that. Read More »

On Politics and Being a Pastor’s Wife

By idaflo | October 26th, 2010 | 2 Comments »

Man and Woman with subtext: "Why tell us about it?"

How can a pastor’s wife be so political? First, I come by it organically; my family is devotedly Republican, thus my roots. People I love and deeply respect have become involved politically, and they have made a difference. Real experience has not jaded my perspective.
But why me? Don’t I fear being divisive and offending people at church? Sure, that is a concern. But I make no apologies any more. (Even though I don’t “talk politics” at church. I AM careful.)
But again, why?
When we moved to California, I attended a few community Republican meetings, to ‘take the temperature’ and see what was being said and done in the state and her GOP. Read More »

On Bedbugs, Abortion and Brown Recluse Spiders

By idaflo | September 20th, 2010 | No Comments »

Brown Recluse SpiderSome businesses, particularly those in Manhattan are literally being forced to shutdown, due to an invasion of bedbugs.

But closer to home, and far from the East Coast, one part of the building where I work has experienced an infestation of Brown Recluse Spiders.  We have been warned, ever-present spider traps have been set, we are on the lookout. The difficulty for us, lies in the fact that these spiders hide.  It isn’t until you’ve picked something up, or moved it over that you may uncover such a creature, and then, if you are unlucky enough to receive a bite from one, you may not even be aware of it initially.  Perhaps there is a slight stinging sensation, the pain doesn’t begin till later, when the damage to tissue, bloodstream, nervous system and eventually body organs has taken hold.  The resulting pain and suffering, can even result in death for the person who has been bitten.

So what on earth does this have to do with abortion? Read More »

VIDEO Project Truth : A Youth Defence Project

By idaflo | August 14th, 2010 | No Comments »

Moving, yet fact-filled presentation.

This pro-life advert was previously banned by the Irish government who said it was too ‘political’ for the airwaves. Now Project Truth, first produced by Youth Defence in 1996, has been set to some amazing footage of the unborn child in the womb. It’s challenging, thought-provoking, beautiful and sad. Show it to your friends. Spread the message.

Fascist Feminism: The Idea That Women Are Too Stupid To Think For Themselves

By idaflo | June 30th, 2010 | No Comments »

For fascist feminists, ultimately, it’s all abortion all the time.

Cassy Fiano with her side armJune 29, 2010 by Cassy Fiano Originally posted at Newsreal: but this from HotAir

About a month ago, Sarah Palin had the gall to describe herself as a feminist. Then, a crop of Republican women rose to prominence — most notably, Nikki Haley, Meg Whitman, Carly Fiorina, and Sharron Angle — by winning primaries across the country. Read More »

Forgotten Father’s Day: Abortion Has Negative Impact for Men, Relationships

LifeNews.com Note: David Reardon is the director of the Elliot Institute, a group that has spent decades conducting research post-abortion issues for men and women.

In the early 1970s, Arthur Shostak accompanied his partner to a well-groomed suburban abortion clinic. They had both agreed abortion was best. But sitting in the waiting room proved to be a “bruising experience.” By the time he left the clinic, he was shocked by about how deeply disturbed he had become. Read More »
