This is fascinating. What is he going to say? Apparently it is no big secret to past researchers, since they have actually published some of the material, “excepts” for other books and articles.
The man had a capacity for warmth and humor, I hope that is reflected here, and that he doesn’t descend into a whiny petty, bitter or completely cynical old man. Publication of the books will forever change the conversation about Mark Twain, I suppose that’s what he intended.
